I can’t describe my experience in the camp by definite words because words are not enough to describe what I felt in the past great 3 weeks (2 weeks in the camp and 1 week after the camp) but I can say that those days changed a lot of things in my life.

The first thing I want to explain is that the camp was great because of the quality of the people who participated in it. The people I met there are the greatest people I had met in my life. I can describe the meeting by “the present of god for me in this year” and so I will never forget them.

The camp was so fantastic in all sides. The location was at Birzeit University; a beautiful place full of trees and nature views, far from the residential areas but at the same time near from the center of birzeit village and so we spent golden nights.

Although the people were from different countries around the world, everybody coming from a different culture and carrying different views and behaviors, we still formed one family in a relatively short time and did not come across what was called “culture conflict”.

My goal in the camp was to reflect a good Idea about my culture and people in our great homeland (Palestine) and to talk about our fair cause. The second goal was to make relationships with new people. I think I succeeded in satisfying my goals. I think that all of the Palestinian people had the same goals which made us work as one group in order to make the camp succeed. I want to thank them for doing this.

Our moments in the camp were full of happiness, laughs and excitement. Such moments we spent on the bus where we had our water fights, and at night when we danced Dabkeh (Palestinian folk dance). The rest of the night we usually spent it discussing different political, religious and cultural subjects.

Finally I want to say that it is wonderful to be responsible for transmitting our ideas. Our goal was to explain our fair case and to make people see what is happening here in our occupied land. Also to say that we, Palestinians, are still here and we will never stop resisting. Even with our smiles we will keep on resisting or else we would die from sadness and grief.

In the end I want to say welcome to any body who wants to visit Palestine in any given time. We are always ready to help. I also want to thank Ghada Al Omare, the director of this camp, who is responsible for the success of this great camp.
