Greetings from Palestine
The Youth Development Association (YDA) and the Higher National Committee of al-Quds Capital of AraB Culture 2009 would like to invite you to Farkha's 16th International Festival which will be held in the village of Farkha/ Salfeet District, Palestine during the period 5th - 16th August 2009 under the theme, “Youth Towards Jerusalem ”
If you are between 18-35 years old and willing to participate in major youth events then you are welcome to be part of our festival…
The festival activities will be divided into two parts, the voluntary work activities that will be implemented during the morning sessions and the entertaining, cultural activities that will be implemented during the evening sessions and will include the following:
1- Preparations & the Opening ceremony.
2- Traditional Palestinian Dance (Dabbkeh) festival.
3- Workshop “Jerusalem & its role in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict”.
4- Theatre day & the childhood festival.
5- The Effect of Apartheid wall; tour around number of Palestinian villages.
6- Entertaining tour to Al-bathan park in Nablus district.
7- Singing & Poetic evening. 8- Political evening “Jerusalem”.
9- Palestinian traditional poems (Zajal) Festival
10- The Palestinian Rural products exhibition.
11- Cultural exchange evening & the Palestinian Traditional Wedding.
12- The closing ceremony.
