PARC - International Work Camp

PARC, AAA, and YDA would like to invite you to the Seventh International Camp (Volunteers for Development) which will adopt the theme of :

“Free… Environment supporters

No to Poverty… No to Siege…No to the Apartheid Wall"

The camp this year aims to discuss and clarify the impacts of the apartheid wall on the environment of the Jordan Valley area.

The Jordan Valley is considered the food basket of the West Bank due to its whole year production; however, the Jordan Valley suffers serious problems due to the intensive spreading of Israeli colonies which restricts the movement of the people as well as the negative Israeli consumption of natural resources that affects the environment and cultivation.

The camp activities will focus on supporting the people and the environment of the Jordan Valley area through conducting studies, workshops, field visits, entertainment activities, and implementing nature related activities such as painting and cleaning.

The camp will assemble 30 participants: 15 Palestinians and 15 of other countries,

We are looking forward to meeting you on our holy land, in the oldest city in the world; Jericho, and giving you the chance to experience our life in all its aspects; culturally, socially, and politically.

We highly appreciate your attendance and interest

With your solidarity, we will never be alone

Deadline for submission of application is February 15th 2009 Applicaation forms to: maiada.salem@pal-arc.org
